Case fans marked as "used" on newly bought cases.

After the last update I was building a new rig with all the newly bought elements. After completing the job I was informed of placing used parts in the rig. So after checking the other newly bought computer case it turned out that the installed fans had "USED" status, even though the case was freshly bought. Repair the issue, please.

after the recent update i started encountering an issue that, on newly bought cases, whenever you would remove a case fan, it would be automatically recognized as USED - that sucks, since you cannot even move them around the case without getting the used parts debuff in rating...

This sounds like a bug. Try reporting it in the bug report forum section maybe? <shrug>

what i noticed is the fans may be getting the 'USED' only when they're removed from the case and repositioned/moved around

No, they are used from the very start. If you don't move them at all and givet the rig to the customer you lose a star for placing used parts.

I have found used case fans in all of my new builds, regardless of the case brand and model, since the 1.12 update. I've resorted to ordering new case fans along with the new cases. On the plus side, I'm collecting a lot of used case fans for my used builds :-)

I have to buy new fans along with the case to get around this bug. Hopefully it gets resolved in a hot fix.

That's not the only thing that's wrong with the new cases. I discovered, if you got a brand new case standing in the pick up zone, save and reload, all fans that SHOULD be there, will disappear

I think I've had this same problem as well, though I didn't look too close at the case when it first arrived to make sure there were fans in it in the first place.

I just hit level 13 and for a little while now have settled in on Raijintek Asterion Plus cases for new builds. Like in real life, I believe this case is supposed to ship with two 120mm fans up front and one 140mm fan in back(although fictional Mortoni Heat Away fans in game versus whatever fan they have in real life).

This may or may not be related, but when PC Bay became available I started buying most of the stuff available if it was like 60% or more off full price including cases.

There were a few Silverstone cases I got that I ended up not wanting to use(non standard layout in three of the same case, a micro ATX RL-08 as well) because I disliked having to remove the top to get anything done as well as more limited expansion options dimension wise compared to other cases.

I took out all the fans for later use, then put the bare cases up for auction on PC Bay.

I thought maybe this was a thing like "Oh, so you are selling cases without fans, huh? Well from now on when you buy a new case you won't get any of the fans that are supposed to come with it". Now it seems likely to be an annoying bug related to one of the latest patches. Hopefully a bug which is fixed very soon. In the mean time, I guess I will have to take any new case I order and put it in storage as soon as it arrives or something. Oh, well.

I have found that any fan I add to the fan is marked used even if I just bought it. Maddening!!

Strip your new cases until hotfix.

When i build in a AIO and relokaed the fans that came with the case. the count as used? is that a bug or a feature?... realy anyoing to get only 4 stars tehen.. this game is out so long and still such bugs?
