High difference in OCCT Tool in Free/Carreer Mode or with RTX2080?
Had a job to overclock CPU to 5151 and GPU to 2095.

Went to Free Mode to check out whether it's buildable, tried an 8086K with an RTX 2080Ti FEd, configured it and that went well, 94°C on CPU, 91 on GPU and 565W power usage.

Back to carrer, built EXACTLY the same configuration and GPU temperature rose until BSOD. CPU was only @88° but GPU had 94-95 already at 2030MHz and with 561W, way under what it was in Free Mode with nearly same power usage.

Tried with an RTX 2080 instead, now without having tuned the GPU the CPU blasts over 100 and restricted. Installed an other CPU cooling system, went well again.

Back to the GPU, tried to get it to 2095, overheated, BSOD, then I don't know what happened but in another try of overclocking the GPU temp stalled @ 32-33°C... job done but there's a bit of a buggy tuning habit of RTX 2080 (Ti) class or a very confusing correlation.

They implemented the silicon lottery in the game, so the asset generation for CPUs, RAM, and GPUs is randomized. Basically, no two 2080 Tis will be exactly the same and the best possible assets can be quite different from the worst possible ones.

yes, me, turbo and aquafawks has been discussing this in another thread, just a note for the 2080ti, ive been using twin 2080ti in builds in freebuild in the quest of an ultimate pc, i havnt been doing binning as i didnt know about this concept, but i am about to start, ive got 3 rigs right now all with different cpu's, i thought the cpu was effecting the oc on the gpu, but then turbo and fawks have opened my eyes to the whole silicone lottery thing that i didnt know about, so far as far as my ability to oc the 2080ti goes, ive gotten a set of twin gpu to be stable at 285mhz on both core and memory speed at 20%volt as my best and 232 as my worst, the 285 yeilded about 180fps on the 1st gpu test in 3dmark and 175fps in the 2nd, this combined with ram and cpu oc, earned me a 21331 in 3dmark

Just so you're clear: This is -NOT- a bug. This is how the game is designed.
