Your post is rather confusing.. what exactly is your problem? Just like in real life, motherboards dictate if you can use SLI or not, just like the model of video card also dictates if you can use SLI or not. Both have to support it or it won't go. You can't just stick two matching nvidia cards in any random motherboard. That's not how computers work.

Sounds to me like he's saying he can't install a single GPU in a non-SLI capable mobo because the GPU is marked as SLI capable. This is pure nonsense of course, but that's how I interpreted that mess of words.

turbo is right im trying to put one graphics card in a motherbord that doesnt support sli but the card does which is stupid its one card if i was trying to put two in thats when the message should be shown.

DFL H170... I have same problem, second day in career has you replace a single Shean 970 gamer with another single Shean 970 gamer. both the card in the machine and the replacements say incompadible and you can not either install original or replacement card. Seems pretty game breaking, not sure why only 3 of us have complained about it yet. SLI only applies to multiple cards. we are replacing single cards, not multi GPU set ups. when even the card that came in the computer wont go back in I would say its a bug.

Oh, I ran into an issue like this during beta testing. When I backed out of the workbench and clicked back on the PC, it resolved the issue for me.
