After removing the RAM, I can not reinstall it on the motherboard.
it's the brucevancleefe computer "Void! Desolation! Emptiness!"
But I know why it's causing you the errors or saying it won't go together, it's because all ram sticks must be exactly matching now or you can't install them in a machine, in PCBS. That means exactly the same manufacturer, same speed, same model # and same capacity.
I guess you could buy other ram from the store that matches and put that in and you could complete it that way. But, that drives up the cost of the job and it's just supposed to be just a motherboard replacement and you shouldn't have to be buying ram for it.
So there's one way to complete it.. but it is a bug that it happens in the first place.
EDIT: I was just thinking.. is this a very old playthrough from before the change to ram requirements? Have you restarted the playthrough recently with the recent patches yet? Maybe you built a custom computer for someone (build a computer job) and then you installed mismatched ram in it a while back (before the ram change) and then later they send you the same computer back for repairs with a broken motherboard. That's the only way I can think of that you would get a job like this delivered to you in that state. Because all new jobs you get today should all come with matching ram.
You should also be prepared to wipe your saves and start over with each patch where we get significant changes to the game (like ram requirements patch, or water cooling patch, or overclocking patch) to prevent things like this from happening.
Mostly small changes doesn't matter if you're playing regulary but if you take a several month old save you could get huge problems.
Another way was done at "Gold Rush: The Game", there was a huge change in game mechanics and a new season was introduced, season 1 kept in "legacy state", to use new game mechanics you had to advance to season 2 (world resetted, you had the option to keep money and gold), new games are direct season 2.
But this wouldn't work well in this game because you have a linear progress (leveling, unlocking parts).
