Bug with pci lock
With the cheapest case priced at 40 (can't remember brand) there is a problem when you remove the pci lock and put it back it still says incomplete case, also of you highlight it in yellow and click to remove or install it, it installs infinite pci locks

Yes, same problem here.

I now have 2 PCI locks because the case is so bugged, when you remove a PCI lock you're given 1 in inventory and one just HANGS on the back of the case, if you install the 1 from your inventory, you have 2 ON THE CASE and can never remove the graphics card or therefore the motherboard AGAIN and have to work around whatever decision you've made with those two components to finish the build... FFFFFFFFFFFF!@

There is a wsy to get around it, if you don't chose the pci lock from inventory and highlight the pci lck area in yellow, and left click to install, it will install one from thin air and complete the case, but we shouldn't have to to do this, it took a while to figure out how to get around it

It's the SilverStone PS14. I can't open the second PCI lock I somehow installed to get the graphics card in, luckily it's a build job so I can just take everything out and put it in a new case

EDIT: Nevermind I seem to have lost the post it somewhere
EDIT 2: Putting the case in the cabinet and taking it back out removes the PCI lock clone

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Had this in previous version. Haven't had since 8.20. Hopefully fixed (:

It's 2019, this issue is still occurring. I don't have the cabinet yet so I don't have the option of using that fix. Even then, Dev should know that's not an actual fix. That's a workaround. I've been loving this game since I got it but parts disappearing all of a sudden really screws up the experience.

You should probably open and add pics to the issue you're still experiancing the issue once you have read the full post I'm going to write.

I have been using the cheap PS14 @$40 for now a long time, in many various updates, and yet never have faced a PCI lock issue since as long as I can remember, playing the game more seriously from late early access (late 2018) to today.

I was always able to complete that case.
BUT in that very case, as opposed to many others, the PCI lock is PART of the case, and NEVER APPEARS into your inventory.

You simply ned to CLOSE it, but weirdly, and very counter intuitively, to do so, you need to be in REMOVE mode ( 2 ) and NOT in INSTALL mode ( 1 ), aim at it, and close it..

Hope it helps.
