PCBS 2 isnt worth it, thoughts after playing.
PCBS 2 is exactly the same game as pcbs1 apart from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ epic launcher ofcourse, slightly updated graphics (looks nothing like the teaser photos and videos) shallow new game play mechanics as just replacing GPU thermal pads and paste that's about it, nothing to add to it, no actual hardware repairs or anything of the sort

overall you are missing out on NOTHING , if anything it actually has less content right now vs pcbs1 as im sure they intend to milk you for dlc money down the road. save your money and the headaches of the epic launcher id say.

I agree. also cant bend pipes anymore, cant run in 21:9, alot of bugs on jobs.
Also had 4 cases that glitches and cant remove gpus.

They should fix it

Not much is new? From the video ""let's play" I watched it has a whole new storefront to build and sell custom pcs from. Not sure about the pipe bending but yeah sucks about epic nonsense.

its purely superficial and feels like a chore with the same old bs. hell they couldn't even get the real world pricing correct again, more or less the same number of parts apart from alderlake , its more like pcbs 1.5

I really don't know why so many people are upset about PCBS2 being on Epic now.. If you would create a game that was popular on Steam and Epic offers you a good amount of money, would you say No to it? (probably depends on the amount i'd assume)

its a small issue agreed, but the game is still feeling like a dlc pack rather than the next gen version

Already thought about buying it, so you would recommend sticking to PCBS and wait for (maybe) more content on the second one?

absolutely , they stripped pcbs 2 of almost everything pcbs1 got from dlcs, to milk us more all over again lol. parts selection is actually smaller with the exception of alderlake and the graphics are a minor improvement

store front feature is mostly entirely ass because we are required to buy used pcs and resell/fix them instead of giving us a used market like in pcbs1

thermal paste feature is pointless and only adds to the chore

gpu water bloc installation is quite simple moot because you can buy a premade one

also no mods as of yet, enjoy pcbs1 you aint missing out on much, let this mature and buy it on a sale with all future dlcs

I played PCBS2 until lvl 12 and i can say that the first one is better overall. PCBS 2 is only worth it if it is ON SALE for 50% or more. With the videos on Epic, the game seems like next gen game, but IT IS NOT what is shown in it. The game is kinda a dumbed down PCBS, with some additional features that aren't really worth it and some that have been removed (like why???).

The game breaking EZ mode of the game overall:
=}This game is not really hard or nor has a real learning curve. Everything is very simple. YOU WILL NEVER RUN OUT OF MONEY unless you waste it all by yourself because everything have a cheap price or no price at all. Shop modifications are all free, why?

=}Few of the tools from the first game (auto-screws and the like) which are all unlocked at very low level and not really expensive (2k$ each). There is no apps to buy, only auto screws/parts/cables (inside and outside the PC) and standoffs if i remember right. Access to really good PC parts is way too fast to my taste also.

=}You don't need to save money to rebuy the company from your uncle ( i guess because you bought it in the first game). No motivation to make big profits since it is not needed. Money will never be a problem. Remember that almost everything is cheap or free.

What is new and not that useful:

Store Front:
=} Lets you sell around 4-5 PC at the same time and have the ability to set the pricing. You get to see a % of chance it will sell, but i have put PC at double price and sold them anyway (sold pcs with 50% or less chances of being sold). That's pretty much it for the store. Also found a kind of trick to sell pcs at skyrocketed prices. Put one that is good at an outrageous price and add to the store front a few pc that are trash. 100% chance you will sell the good one, even if overpriced.

The customisation of casing:
=} you can spray paint whole case, over or not the glass if any. VERY small variety of "entire" casing stickers, a kinda medium sized pool of small stickers (they suck a bit, the emoji are nice at least, but that's it) which can be resized or rotated. If you plan wasting time doing the artist on the case (because those jobs aren't worth much money), it can be satisfying if you like your cases customised for your own fun. This is one of the biggest addition to the game which isn't really that impressive like in the trailers. Maybe future paid DLCs will add more.

Watercooled parts:
=}Not much to say about it. This one is a feature that is not in the first game, but it isn't that impressive to replace a cooler block for a liquid cooled one. Open, replace thermal pads and paste, voila! Not really impressive or useful to add this in the game. i don't feel like it adds gameplay to the game.

Fan controlling and thermal vision:
=} These features are the only ones that i think is missing in the first game. You can adjust on a graph in really time the air flow or use the thermal camera of your tablet (didn't see that one coming lol) to see where the heat builds up or if a part is faulty. Quite cool, but not worth as an argument to buy the game.

The software installation:
=} Like in IT expansion from the first game.

I surely missed some points, feel free to add them to my posting.

TLDR: Wait for a sale of at least 30% or more, it is not as good as the video shows and not really better than the first PCBS.

Besides all that stuff PCBS2 still very weak on the simulator side. GPUs still hard requerment for ANY pc, case still has to effects on ventilation, etc...

Id say its ok, but wait for huge sale. Its good as some sort of remaster, but still not enough new content.
