Second: It doesn't matter what era the computer parts are in this game. It doesn't matter if they're old or not current. That has literally zero effect on the gameplay, how much fun this game is, or anything about that. This game is just as fun today and still has multiple hundreds of hours of gameplay in it even if it is using older parts compared to what we have today.
And 3rd: The developers told us that they abandoned this game. This game will NEVER be updated. Nothing will be updated for PCBS 1 ever. No new hardware. No new parts. If you want new parts you must go buy the second game that has newer parts in it.
It makes perfect sense from a business perspective: If people want to play with older hardware they buy the first game. If they want newer hardware they buy the second game. If they want both they buy both games.
