First off: No there will never be crypto in this game. There will not be crypto in the second game either. The developers told us previously that there will NEVER be crypto in this series of computer games. That's not what these games are about.

Second: It doesn't matter what era the computer parts are in this game. It doesn't matter if they're old or not current. That has literally zero effect on the gameplay, how much fun this game is, or anything about that. This game is just as fun today and still has multiple hundreds of hours of gameplay in it even if it is using older parts compared to what we have today.

And 3rd: The developers told us that they abandoned this game. This game will NEVER be updated. Nothing will be updated for PCBS 1 ever. No new hardware. No new parts. If you want new parts you must go buy the second game that has newer parts in it.

And the sequel has none of the parts in the first so it is also missing a ton of things. It is such a dumb way this was handled with Epic games buying the rights or what ever they did. Like OP be baiting potentially but It'd be really nice if we could actually test our RL builds with the game before gettin the parts. Even if it's just testing aesthetics. But nope cases and parts are missing in both versions. Noctua doesn't even exist in 2.

They couldn't have all the parts from the first game into the second game when it started. Then there wouldn't be a reason for anyone to buy the first game anymore. Everyone would just buy the second game only and they would lose money. By keeping different era's of parts in two different games they have twice the chance for people to buy their two different games. It was done purely for business (profit) reasons.

It makes perfect sense from a business perspective: If people want to play with older hardware they buy the first game. If they want newer hardware they buy the second game. If they want both they buy both games.

I forgot to add: The prices in this game are 100% completely fictional. The prices in this game never reflected the real life prices of the hardware, even back in 2018 when this game was first released.
