Home made Desktop Server like a NAS (network attached storage) device

Hi, I hope I am not asking you to step past your project scope.

But, I believe if you was to introduce some server case types a NAS could be mimic-ed (simulated).

Not sure if you would go as far as to provide different hardware controllers like RAID...if so it would be cooler!
You could add the possibility of storage benchmarking using RAID combinations like 0,1,5,10,50,and more

Well they just added a NAS case with 8 hotswap drive bays so there you go. And I agree server stuff in this game would be sweet!

It has already stated there will be no servers, storage systems (NAS and RAID), workstations or network devices (WLAN cards, routers, switches...). Also no laptops.

The developers added the Silverstone CS381 (micro-ITX) to the game with the recent patch 1.7. That's a NAS case with hot-swap hard drive bays. We have homebrew NAS machines in-game now.

I thought more about those like Synology or Qnap and not "homerbrew".
We have now a storage case but we would also need RAID controllers and PSU with 8 or more plugs for drives.
(I haven't tried that case out, I play almost only on career)

The only purpose for a computer case with front-mounted hot swap drive bays is either home server or home NAS. There's literally no other reason for that case to exist. So we can't claim they won't add NAS machines to the game any more because now they have done it.

I haven't tried out the case myself in-game yet either and I'll try that later today when I get time.
