Testing RAM
Interesting Idea today, spending the day testing ALOT of different RAM.
only 3 tests in so far, but found something interesting already.
Using 1 stick of 8GB G.Skill Fortis ram at 2133 MHz gave a base score of 12,913 in the test pc.
Adding a 2nd stick of 8GB G.Skill Fortis ram at 2133 MHz has boosted the score to 13,720.
Adding a 3rd stick of 8GB G.Skill Fortis ram at 2133 MHz has no increase in score, 13,720.
Adding a 4th stick of 8GB G.Skill Fortis ram at 2133 MHz has no increase in score, 13,720.
So it appears adding 2 sticks of RAM is all you need to get the max increase in score. adding more has no improvement... Now to test the size of the RAM .. this should be interesting.

The dual channel mode is currently poorly implemented (it checks only amount of modules to be at least 2, not their real configuration).

That entirely depends on which hardware you are using and is not true for all hardware in the game. Some motherboards and processors are dual channel only and will not benefit from a 3rd or 4'th stick of ram. This is normal. Those systems are dual channel in real life as well and that's how dual channel works. There are some other systems later in the game (Intel X299 & AMD X399) that do support up to 4 memory channels and benefit from up to 4 ram sticks, but will not benefit any further beyond the 4'th. Just like dual channel systems don't benefit beyond the 2nd ram stick.

Do you know if they plan to add an extra line of information in the shop when buying parts for the motherboard that lets us know if they are dual channel or not?
right now I'm using the ASUS PRIME Z370-A motherboard, I'm using exactly the same hardware other then RAM and running benchmarks to see if the size of the memory / brand of the memory / amount of sticks have any impact, or just the speed, and how much the speed increase impacts the scores, and if it caps at any point / or if it caps at the motherboards max supported speed.
the ASUS PRIME Z370-A caps at 4000 MHz ram, I'm on the last test for 2133 MHz ram - 2GB
So far there is no increase or decrease in score with the size of the ram ( 8gb, 4gb or 2gb ) and no increase or decrease between brands of the RAM ( only tested Shean TITAN and G.Skill FORTIS ) figured since there was no difference between them, then there wouldn't be a difference between any RAM brands in the game.

You can check the memory channels in the BIOS.
It will be under Memory Channels (used/ max)

For how many is supported it follows the real world equivalent.

Size doesn't matter, in this case, higher the clock speed the better the score. There is no difference between brands besides the listed base speeds.

Regarding Memory Channels..

"Max Memory Channels" depends on the CPU, not the motherboard, in this game.
Look for my "Parts & Unlock Levels" guide, in the guides area.
On the CPUs tab, it lists "Max Memory Channels" as a column.
I agree this should listed in the game, but for now, my data is pulled from the game.
