Then you hit [ I ] (for inventory) and you go into cases. That's where they are, you select one, and you drop it on an empty bench.

There's the ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming ITX/ac that unlocks at level 21. There's the Asus ROG Strix X470-I Gaming that unlocks at level 18. There's the Gigabyte B360N Aorus Gaming WiFi that unlocks at level 16.
There's lots of ITX boards in the game and they will all fit in that case. I even tried doing a build in career mode with my playthrough at level 30. I was able to install multiple ITX boards in that case and Everything works perfectly fine. You're doing something wrong. I'm not sure what but something is wrong there.
so at 21 its where it starts?
PS, Seems to take until lvl 17 before you even get one unlocked, seems a bit silly to since as I said, you get access to a case that can only take the Mini's at lvl 4, and a few more at around lvl 13.
