Unsolvable Job

I have a job that has a TR4 socket and is asking for AIO liquid cooling. Problem is this case (Despite the case supporting 360mm AIOs in real life) doesn't support the only AIO for TR4. I am working towards that 5 star ranking and this 10000% feels like I will end up losing rating now, any thoughts as to what I can do? Many thanks in advance.

If you really want that 5 star rating all the time for every job then you are going to have to start creating a new manual save before accepting every job and again before turning it in. I know it's kind of cumbersome but this game does generate a lot of "Actually impossible to solve" combinations of hardware with the random part generator and this is our only defense against that.

Don't worry so much - you'll lose or have to cancel a few jobs (or just give up on them). Making a 5 star rating back only takes two or three days.

This is not entirely true. If we create manual saves before accepting each job then we will never lose star rating even on impossible jobs: Just go back and load the save then decline the job and move on to do another.

My "Parts & Unlock Levels" guide may be able to help you. I've provided a link below.

When I switched to the "CPU Coolers" tab, and filtered for "Part Type" "CPU Cooler - Liquid", and filtered for "TR4" set to "Y", and sorted by "Level" then "Level %", I see the following list of 40 applicable parts, sorted by level.

What level are you, and what case are you working in? You forgot to add those details in your initial question, and details certainly matter. With those details, with could have more easily helped you find a solution by testing in Free Build. Also, if you share your save file, we can try to solve it ourselves, so consider sharing it.

I’m pretty sure these are DLC. Because the only base game AIO that works for TR4 is the Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML360 MIRROR TR4 EDITION 33 and it’s a 360mm which doesn’t fit in the case.

I’ve decided to just hold onto the job until I get the 5 star rating then will cancel it after wards. Only care for the achievement.

Actually all 40 parts listed by PUC_Snakeman are in the base game and they all support Socket TR4. It's just that some of them are only unlocked at a certain level and even a certain % of the way through that level. You probably just haven't leveled up far enough to see the others unlock yet. What you can try to do is go in to free build and then you will have access to all of the parts without a level restriction then you can try to re-create this job and see what TR4 AIO's will actually fit in that case.

You're welcome. The "Store" filters should have worked for you, but in case you ever want more info, that guide lists all the parts and can be filtered in ways the Store cannot.

Gotta say... I agree with Arcon. It's not the end of the world if you miss a job. Multiple saves is not worth the time and effort. IMO

That's up to you. To me I see it as far less time to go back and re-load a save and decline a job than worry about doing 25 more jobs spot-on-perfect to get the rating back to 5 stars again which is *A LOT* of time and they might not all be possible to complete. What if you got 4 impossible jobs in a row and your star rating just kept going down and down and down because you didn't make manual saves. That would suck. And it's entirely possible in this game.

And my play style is completely different. I try to complete every single job as 5 stars, to find bugs with the game and help the devs fix them, so the community can enjoy the game better.

Using this method, I have helped them to resolve most of the job problems where optional objectives weren't perfect. They are now mostly perfect, meaning nearly every job is now 5-star-capable, to my knowledge.

But regarding play style: To each their own.
