PC Building Simulator 2 makes this game obsolete?

Does PBS 2 (on Epic store..) make this game obsolete? I want to brush up on my PC building in a virtual environment, but is this game outdated with the new one out? Is there any value in playing this game in light of PBS 2? Thanks.

I saw this thread and it looked interesting to me. I was wondering why you would write those things to yourself so I decided to go ahead and archive that on the internet archive just in case you tried to delete your comments. Which you demonstrated to me in the past you are fond of doing. I'm glad I did that. Yikes. It's fake. I know it's fake, you know it's fake, Rufus and Shadowhawk and anyone else who saw this thread before all the deleted posts knows it's fake. I don't know what your problem is and what kinds of things you're going through, but I sincerely hope you get whatever kind of help you need and spend more time doing things off the internet.

My problem is Eisberg AKA Rufus. I can't post a damn thing in this forum without them finding me, harassing me, insulting me, targeting me with random BS, making up BS about me, claiming I'm a liar, etc. I have reported them well over a hundred times and the moderators won't do jack about it, neither the local ones or the global steam moderators. There's nothing I can do to get them to go away and leave me the heck alone and let me write comments in peace. They have been on me for multiple years and continue to hound me. I'm sick and tired of it and I have no idea what I ever did to them for them to select me but they did and they're here and they won't go away now. They are harassing me in twitter, and discord and steam. They're stalking me almost everywhere on the internet. It's literally bullying. It's as if they wish me dead or something. It's beyond annoying to the point that I can hardly stand it anymore. I would say or do anything to get them to just leave me the heck alone at this point. I have no idea what else to do.

That would work if they were only bothering me in steam. But they are bothering me elsewhere on the internet. Also blocking them doesn't prevent them from making stupid and insane comments about me that others read. Blocking unfortunately doesn't do a damn thing. That and we don't have active moderators in this forum anymore, sadly.

Typical when dealing with Eisberg. They will go out of their way to do and say anything to try and silence someone who says anything negative about Epic Games. Including posting things at them on every public facing internet account that they have. They have escalated it *WAY* beyond just epic games comments though and now they try and completely silence me (and get me banned) everywhere on the internet. It's to the point I can't write anything anywhere in public without them popping their ugly head up and writing some off the wall stupid comment to the things I'm saying even off steam. :(

It depends on what you mean by obsolete, there won't be new parts added and the new game will have more stuff, but it sounds like this game will be fine for what you're using it for. At least fine from the perspective if you think it's fine now, it will still be fine in the future.

The big issue for me, and it would definitely change my answer to your question, is if the new game fixes all the problems with this game. Many things are explained poorly, or not at all, or flat-out wrong in this game (disclaimer: I haven't put a lot of time into this, so maybe things are eventually explained correctly, but I doubt it considering this is sold as a 'simulation' game). So if all that is fixed and you're using this as a tool to learn things then the new game would be better, But only time will tell on that.

You mean you didn’t want vague details of an internet fight?

While PCBS 2 does technically make PCBS obsolete this game is still fun. Definitely worth picking up on a sale if you can. Plus PCBS 2 is still in beta so it’ll be awhile before the actual game comes out. As far as gaining or refining PC building skills through the game, I wouldn’t count on it. It’s a fun game but definitely not going to help much with real world skills.

It's a simulator game though. I'm sure it's the next best thing next to actually building a PC. Just like any other simulator game. It will provide some knowledge and know-how, at least.

It's much more game than simulator. It provides the knowledge of where things go but that's really about it. I'd strongly encourage you to play it as a game and enjoy it rather than rely on it as a training tool. If you like PC building though you'll probably enjoy this.

The free games on EGS are just bait to try and get people into their store or ecosystem. I don't take candy from strangers myself.

Both look exactly the same. PCBS2 has been bought and paid for so there's no incentive for the devs to do much work on it either before or post release to be honest
