How does one install an OS in free build?

Well I think my title is a good descriptor enough. I do not or just can not add an OS in free build. I tis driving me nuts, because I can not test my PCs.

Insert the USB Drive, then reboot the PC. It will install the OS.

Yeah, thanks. I think I hadn't gotten enough sleep or something when I asked this question. Because, boy is that a stupid question for me to ask.

go to tools and software and get the USB flash drive the OS is on there
