If you are playing in the normal career mode there should be a bar graph in the top right corner that shows you your current XP. But I think I know what you're wanting to do and I'll try to advise you not to. First.. if you want to see your current XP then just create a manual save file and it will show you your XP physical # when you save and load via the save menu. Secondly (the only reason you would need the physical number for your XP is this): We can't level up with CheatEngine in this game. If you change your XP with CheatEngine (it is possible) then the game breaks. No more leveling up. No more XP from jobs. Also if you change your money with CheatEngine then the game will detect it and it will prevent you from accessing PC Bay to sell your computers later in career mode permanently until you delete it and start over from level 1 so don't do that either.

It's not "obvious" what the game did. But when you get later in the game and try to use PC Bay then it won't work for you because you cheated and added money. It's well documented in the community that adding money with cheat engine in this game breaks our ability to use PC Bay.

Not true to either. you still get XP and can access PCBay as normal, may have changed since april, buying and selling on PCBay still works.

BUT

Every time you reload the addresses the XP and money are located in change so you have to go through the search again so it's a PITA

and the game still gives you the low level XP jobs, story mode specific jobs you would've gotten as if you were at that level as well as the jobs for the XP level you are at

It seems I need to explain this better as other people have questioned it on reddit before. What I was trying to explain above is if we use cheat engine to modify our money early in the game, BEFORE pc bay is unlocked then it will prevent us from unlocking and accessing PC Bay. But editing our money AFTER we have unlocked PC Bay seems to work correctly.

However If we try to edit our XP to level up faster with cheat engine that definitely does not work no matter what we will do and never will work. That completely breaks the game and will make us unable to advance normally even if we go back to doing jobs. So don't do that.

and you are wrong it works fine. I just started a new game added in $100000 and THEN edited my XP to level 18. low and behold PC Bay is still there, and you still gain XP. editing money/xp in any order doesn't break anything, unless in cheat engine you lock the values in which case yes you wont gain XP and your money will never change, but you just don't tick them to be locked SIMPLE.

Each to there own :)
