How does Overclock exactly work?
Okay, i am sorry if i am a kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but as far as my "Computer technician" career went... i never EVER did overclock to a computer, nor installed water-cooling

But that doesn't has to do with anything, because on this game, it is just simple, as to only boot into BIOS and make the CPU and GPU run at more clock speed than always at the expenses of gaining a significant amount of temperature (Yeah, i may be wrong, cuz in real life, it's kinda the same, except that you need to buy a real cooler, maybe watercooler).

But here's the problem: X customer asks me to do overclock to a computer. Sounds fair, right? Well, i boot into the BIOS, raise the clock speed at the desired Mhz and BAM! Mission accomplished, go put the computer to get back to the customer, and... i get one star

I mean, seriously, i don't get it, i did overclock his computer and he later tells me that there isn't any change, and gave me a star? Am i missing something? Did i also had to change the hardware or anything?

I already tried by buying a better cooler for the CPU, but no, it has to be THAT CPU cooler from THAT customer!

I don't get it, and this is why i lose lucrative deals by rejecting customers who ask me to overclock

I already tried by selecting the "Apply changes and restart" on the BIOS, but still

Did you try using the overclocking program on the GPU?

"To overclock the GPU you will need to install both OCCT for testing and GPU Tuner to tune the actual card. When overclocking the GPU you will not need to go to BIOS you can do it live with just OCCT and GPU Tuner open."

I have not got far enough into the game to get overclocking jobs, I do not know what they ask for.

Nope, tried only from the BIOS, but thanks for the advice, know what to do now

Did you run OCCT after the OC to see if the computer crashes or throttles?
And did you also run 3DMark?

Nope, nope and more nope. Thought it was as simple as just configure it on the BIOS and there, that's it

At least now you know why you got one star.

The Bios controls the CPU only you need to use the overclocking program to control the GPU

Overclock you did, young padawan. But test it for stability you did not ... as Yoda would say.

You need to run the overclocked hardware in a stable configuration. That means you need to find ways to dissipate the increased heat.
No other CPU cooler allowed by customer? Try installing additional case fans.
And from what I read so far, it seems like you did not increase the core voltage in the BIOS, am I right?
You should really check out the aforementioned beginner's guide by Snakeman.

Yes CPU is native system so thats the Computer BIOS, the GPU comes with its own BIOS so thats controlled through other software ;)

You need the following programs/tools to manage your OCs:
1. BIOS for CPU and RAM overclock, CPU core voltrage and RAM voltage control
2. GPU tuner utility for GPU overclock and GPU core voltage control
3. OCCT for testing the stability
4. 3DMark for stress testing the system

Why did I mention voltage? Because more voltage means more stability for your OC, but it always comes with increased heat.
Please read the guide by Snakeman thoroughly so that you can understand how all these tools work together.

You do not want to have a system running stable but with the CPU throttling down because of overheating which results in a tanked 3DMark score.
