HTPC or Raspberry Pi supported?
Is the game includes HTPCs or just standard case PC?
And can you you build minimal builds like Raspberry pi?

No, not in game, only PCs

Would be nice to add laptops or tablets at some point.

Unfortunately laptops are not standardized inside like PC's are. They also generally are not customizable either. At least not at the level that PC's are. It's pretty much virtually impossible for them to have laptops in the game.

True but they don't need to include every possible laptop model and parts, just a few to have enough variety and that'll be good.

Because laptops aren't standardized there's really no way for them to feature them in this game. They would have to create entirely different repair scenarios for every model of laptop. Even the motherboard screws aren't in the same place. Not all of them come apart the same way either. I think it would be entirely too much work. The poor developers are barely able to keep up with adding new hardware to the game this year as it is for desktop PC's. They're a small team of about 5-6 people by the way, not a large company with 500+ people designing a game like Bethesda or EA.

Aquafawks, just please stop being a negative Nancy and stop saying cant or wont. It just takes time to convince them otherwise. Now if they have finished developing the game and want to move on then thats all good to. But as long as they are still working on it, start asking more and once the chorus becomes loud enough, money talks.

Laptops can be OC'ed, cleaned, ram replaced, etc... all the sprites you see in game are no different than a part for a laptop. Cases arent standard either for PC or all inputs etc would always be in the same place. Size or shape does not matter. Its still a relevent technology and only getting bigger with the PC becoming a dinosaur sooner rather than later. You can buy a broken laptop on PCbay and fix it and sell it. There is no end to the things that can be done.

Go watch some ♥♥♥♥ tracy. Hmm cant even use a mans name - its blocked out D.I.C.K TRACY is an old time detective show and look to see his tech.

Just so you are aware: They *HAVE* finished developing the game. It's been released already. Development and adding new features happened back in Early Access mode which is now done and over with. It looks to me like they are mostly just adding new parts and fixing bugs.

Always DLC possibly. Keep at it man, pester em.

Edit - thinking even more, they could move onto building networks in buildings and selling them the PC and routers

The developers for this game have demonstrated already that they do *NOT* seem concerned with how many times someone asks for something. This is made obvious by the literally more-than-500 threads posted asking for VR and they still haven't added it to the game after almost 3 years now. Personally I think that asking for the same thing repeatedly is more likely to annoy the developers to the point of them never adding it. Also I think it seems to just be cluttering up the forums with pointless threads at this point and makes it difficult to find new threads where people actually need help with something.

Now why would they do that? I guess they are rich and like walking away form money. If 500 threads asked for the same thing, it would be in their interest to do it to start making a loyal fanbase. Ignoring them is how so many little studios go belly up. You dont ignore the hand that pays your bills, otherwise go find another job because no one will remember you.

To illustrate this point, 7 years ago a small 2 man team founded a small studio named Crate - the devs of Grim Dawn. 7 years later, these guys now have 20ish people there, working on 3 or 4 different projects and can afford it because they added what the customers demanded and in turn they have some of the most loyal folks I have seen a game forum. This studio by turning a blind eyeor semi blind one, to the fan base will be not have that loyalty for their next game. Crate could make a paint by numbers game and it might make the top 10 steam best selling list. They would buy it instantly just to gather dust because the devs did respond to their fan base.

I agree with you. I too think they should start adding things to the game that the people want. They even wrote a forum post for this game back in 2018 stating that they wanted to add VR to the game. Yet here we are almost half way through 2021 with well over 500+ threads asking for it and they still have yet to add it to the game. So I think they really just don't care. Judging by that I would assume that they likely won't add laptops either. There's been just a couple dozen threads ever asking for laptops. I'd say 25 or less. Laptops probably have even less of a chance to appear in the game than VR does at this point. Folks would probably need to spam the forums with hundreds and hundreds of requests for laptops for them to even think about it. And by then that would border on folks getting banned for forum spam.

That's because VR is very niche. Only 2.22% of Steam users....
