PCBS Esports DLC problem with job

Hi guys, hope u can help me.
I have this one job from Conkerer/Dragons, where i have to upgrade ram (works), do a virus scan (works too), and upgrade his CPU. Budget is 2,5k. Problem is, he already has an AMD Threadripper 3970x, and the only better one would be the 3990x, but thats 4k only for the CPU.
But, i tried putting that one on anyway, but, CPU upgrade still not done.
Anyone got the same problem? And if so, have u been able to solve it?

I recommend that you click the Discord button on the game's main screen, to join the game's Discord server, then ask in #general in there, and we can help you. There's a Pinned Message there that tells you how to find your save files.

I completed the DLC (for the different achievements) but never had such an issue regarding budget problems. Maybe you could copy Conkerer's mail text where he ordered the CPU upgrade? Does he specify an upgrade or is it possible to overclock the CPU instead?

dlc worked up until now like a charm (started using that buying guide for the remaining achievs), and in that guide is a side job called "upgrade please" (iirc intel 8700k to buy).
my "upgrade please" is, well, see op :/
and yes, he specifically wants a cpu upgrade (+RAM too), and i tried overclocking , does nothing :(
if i knew how, i could upload a screenshot here from his email.

To create screenshots in any game, including this one, you just press F12. When you exit the game, it asks you if you want to upload it. Do that and set it up as public, then you navigate to it (in your USERNAME->Content menu), you have a link on the top. You can copy paste that here. If this explanation was too brief, there are videos of it on youtube.

So it seems like you really have to take the bitter pill and buy the expensive CPU ugrade. Please note that you have a budget of only $2500, but you can still overreach that because it is not stated in the job description as an objective. Thus you can put in more expensive hardware but will not get paid more than the budgeted $2500.
But as you have $9000 in your bank I do not see this as a problem. Just make sure (by using savegames) that you have enough money at the end of the week for the match where you might need to buy replacement parts for defective hardware,

If installing the Threadripper 3990X did not complete the objective then it would be best if you could upload your savegame file to e.g. Google drive and share the link to it so that we can diagnose it.

The way they shared it is perfectly fine. I can read it. There's no need to be picky about how they get it to us as long as it's viewable some how.

I started another round of the eSports DLC and stayed with the Dragons team in order to receive this mission. First of all it is an optional mission. You are able to reject it when it is presented to you. And second it seems to be generated with random hardware: For me the mission generated a system with an i9-9980XE.

I verified this with another job where I overreached the budget - in this one here the case did not allow for more expensive hardware. You will even receive not only the $2500 but the whole amount that is invoiceable. As a result (or punishment) you will not get the maximum team score likes at the end of the week but the hit will not be hard - only something like 19/21.
