Nope. 3dmark record threads aren't possible with this game now that the "silicon lotto mod" is released to the public. We have to assume everyone sharing any sort of 3dmark score is cheating because it can't be proven otherwise. The last 3dmark score thread that ran for 2.5 years was closed because of it. So all future threads also aren't possible now.

To be fair, the last update made pretty mich every mod except hardware expansion stop working and most of the cheat ones were old versions that don’t get updates anymore which just happened to still work.

There will always be cheaters but if the non cheaters cannot reproduce iffy results then you know it’s really iffy.

People can still make comparisons but you just take it all with a grain of salt. Especially if detailed build specs and numbers aren’t given with scores (or screenshots)

Man that really sucks, I finally hit 29884 today on 3D mark and wanted to see if 30k was possible. I've been binning cpus for 2 days
With the help of the new 6900xt, it is not difficult to get over 30k

30k is possible. I can detect the cheats based on save file, just post your score and the save game here. My best score so far is 30643, btw, but I don't think my CPU is overclocked in the best possible way, so I'm sure it could be improved.

I'm sorry if it seems like I'm being a "downer" or mister negative but I'm just trying to share information with folks. The original 3dmark records thread is here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/621060/discussions/0/3211505894147890598/

It was shut down for a reason. Starting another new thread on the same subject isn't going to work. Not anymore.

yoyo what setup where you using for that, im on dual 6900XTs and a 5950x on a full watercooled loop with 5 rads.

The reason was that nobody could detect the cheats. I can do that, and I can teach anybody to do that, if interested. So it should be restarted.

Pretty much the same, I'm using a 4 and a 2 length radiator, and the rest of the case is basic coolers. I figure the problem with the CPU isn't the heat after having enough radiators, so I've put everything else into case fans: I have 13 QF120 and 2 QF140 so the graphics card provides 34142 score. BUT I'll ad a little caveat. This score IS possible to achieve, but you need to bin for it hundreds, possibly even thousands of times, since the SL value is 4.99% on CPU, RAM and GPU.

Ahh alright I see, because my CPU stays at like 52c at max load but just crashes if i overlock it anymore. I think I only binned through maybe 100 cpu so far buy this one is pretty good. The max overclock I can get on it is +4 anything more and it dies.

And how exactly can you do this?

It doesn't matter anyway. Even if you can detect cheaters it won't stop people from coming in here and flooding the thread with results from 12,000 mhz processors with maxed out video cards. There's just no point in threads like this.

Cheat Engine - there is a cheat table that you can use to change these values arbitrarily, and in the same way, you can check the values in any save game you load in. The game only allows values of up to 1.05, with even values over 1.0499 being ridiculously rare, so it's not hard to detect obviously cheated values.

I disagree. Since obvious cheats are easy to detect, there's no reason to post cheated values since you'll only get called out for it, and your score won't matter anyways. And with the constraints of not having parts with SL over 1.05, it's your OC skills that are getting tested, not your cheating capabilities. So noobs can flood threads like these all they want, it'll only be their shame.

What you can't see is the 3 pages of deleted comments in the old 3dmark thread. The problem is it requires people submit a copy of their save file for you to inspect. With this scenario you get people that will come in and write comments like "I ain't no darn cheater! I'm never sending you my save! I don't have to prove myself to you or anyone else! I'm legitimate!" and then it devolves the thread in to a back-and-forth bitter argument that will end up with name calling and swear words. It always happens with every "3dmark results thread" and it will happen again with this one. Then the comments get deleted and the thread locked. It's better to just not start it in the first place.

Unless you actually want to be the person known for inciting drama and flame wars on the forums by starting yet another 3dmark thread.
I don't mind flame wars... especially if the majority of it is deleted. :steamhappy: Also, the problem with not posting a save file can be circumvented by just adding in a rule to the competition, that saves have to be submitted. They don't even need to submit a save, btw, since I can just recreate their config with 1.0499 values, and if it works, it's legit, if it doesn't, it's not, end of discussion. They could yap all they want, if the thread creator doesn't acknowledge their score. :steamsalty: I suggest that instead of looking at how or why it wouldn't work, we should be looking at how to make it work: what rules are needed, and what needs to be submitted, what is optional to submit, etc. I'm willing to work on this and make the thread, I just want to see OP OC's :selike:

Nice work mate  The best you could get on a video card right now is 34142, and you got pretty close to that, it's just a question of binning to improve that. Your CPU might be hitting its limit, but you should try out a really low multiplier with higher base frequency for it, and adjust the RAM accordingly, see if you can squeeze some minor percentage more out of it.
My best score, which is theoretically achievable in-game is 30666 with the 5950 and 30371 with the 10900k. I'm stating it like this since I cheated the SL values, but only within what's possible in the game. If you have a better score, post it along with your save file, and I can validate it for you :h7llama:
