Overclocking help
I need some help with this overclocking job and hope someone can help me.

I got a job to overclock a CPU to 5353 on an I7-9700k.

No matter what I try I get a BSOD. I will send pictures once I upload them as to what I've done so far

You need to read the BSOD message. It's not a generic message and each BSOD message in the game tells you exactly what's gone wrong with the computer.

Then you can read some of the blue screen guides in the guides section to tell you what the blue screen message means. Here's a link for you: https://steamcommunity.com/app/621060/guides/?searchText=blue&browsefilter=trend&requiredtags%5B%5D=-1

How safe can you raise the CPU Voltage before you burn out the CPU? I even tried 1.6 and it still crashes

1.7v is safe for all processors in the game. Additionally: Unlike in real life, voltage does not effect thermals in PCBS. Just so you know. If I get a moment I'll try to read your blue screen message for you.

EDIT: Here's some information for you.

Clock Interrupt Error
This error also came with the OC update, it usually means that much like the "PRN_LIST_CORRUPT" error your CPU doesnt have enough voltage or the Frequency was set to high. The CPU is Overclocked wayy to high causing heat up and return this error, of course to fix this issue all you have to do is go into the bios (Hold DEL or F2) and either Factory Reset or Lower the speed/Ratio on the cpu (Bring the voltage up a bit if required).

Some further information for you: This game does simulate "Silicon Lottery". Just because a customer's job asks you to overclock a processor to 5353 Mhz does not mean that the processor that came with their computer is even actually capable of running at the 5353 Mhz that the customer is asking for. It is entirely possible that you could do everything necessary to make the overclock stable and in the end their processor just won't do what they ask. Some overclock jobs are impossible in this sense. So be prepared for that. I would suggest you make a manual save before accepting any overclock jobs in this game.

Raising it to 1.7V fixed the problem. Thanks man. I thought 1.5v was the safest for CPUs in game
