without changing the graphics card how to exceed its overclock limit
They ask me to overclock the GPU to 1409, when the maximum that can be done is 1400 and I cannot change the customer's graphics card. How can I exceed that limit without changing the graphics card?

Do you need to reach a score of 1409 or a core clock of 1409? In the first case you can just put in another GPU of the same type, and be done with it. You might need a bigger power supply, if it gives you a BSOD without OC. Can you crank up the core clock more, only to cause a BSOD? You'll need more fans in this case (pun intended). A screenshot of the task would help us help you easier.

I have some struggle with GPU OC and I'm a bit confused.

I'm at level 17 and the customer needs new PC with CPU and GPU overclocked. But GPU needs to be at 2135.
If I buy one 1080 GPU I can overclock it to 2100 maximum. No higher than that.
And just out of curiosity I bought 1070 GPU and noticed it can be overclocked to that 2135.

So why 1080 can't be overclocked that much, while 1070 can be? Same power supply (850W), same PC case with no additional fans (one intake, one exhaust).
Not sure how that thing works then. So would like to know the same as OP.

The custom watercooled GPUs overclock higher than the regular ones. If there is room in the workorder budget you might have to add custom watercooling too (if it is possible in that pc case).

@futcat:
Some GPU Overclock jobs are impossible either because they request their own GPU be overclocked to a value that is higher than possible, or they request a new PC with a GPU clock that is higher than possible. You must click "Reject" on them, if you don't want a 1-star review.

@ivanmanu51:
Highly recommend the "GPU Overclock Summary" guide to see which families overclock how high. One thing you're not understanding, is that the clock speed of a GPU does NOT determine its performance. The 1080 GPU has many more processing cores, generating a lot of heat, so NVIDIA clocked it lower, but it still outperforms the 1070. That guide I mentioned will list the expected overclocks for each family of GPUs.

Absolutely not true. There are no impossible jobs. You can always overclock to the needed frequency or score, with the addition of either more fans, a better PSU, or another GPU.

It is true.

The impossible jobs are the jobs that request a GPU Overclock that it higher than any GPU in the game can be overclocked to.

The limit used to be 2400 MHz, and jobs requested higher, requiring you to click Reject. The limit has changed recently (with the introduction of AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT = 2500 max, AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT = 2600 max), but the problem will still happen.

So be on the lookout for jobs requesting more than 2400 MHz, unless you are at level 33 with full bar to unlock those 2 additional GPUs.

And there are still some jobs that request a GPU Overclock for a customer GPU, that is higher than it can be overclocked to. Those impossible jobs still exist, as well.

What about the customer jobs that ask us to overclock their video card to 2400 Mhz, they won't allow us to change the video card and their card they have physically will not go past 2000 Mhz in the GPU overclock program's sliders? Those sorts of jobs exist and I've seen them myself in-game. There are impossible jobs and they do exist. Or see this screenshot I have from my own play-through where a customer asked me to overclock their CPU to 6000 Mhz: https://i.imgur.com/Q4c6M9M.png That's practically impossible. I'm fairly sure there's no processor in the game that can OC to 6000 Mhz and pass 3dmark/OCCT in the vanilla game without mods.

There are definitely impossible jobs. I also came across jobs where I could not put the CPU colling back in or unscrew the case because the cooling was glitched through the side of the case.... Making me not only fail the job but having bought stuff for it...

To be clear:

- a "collision bug preventing installation/uninstallation" is a bug.

- an "impossible job" is a job where it is impossible to satisfy the demand, and does exist, and happens when the customer requests an impossible GPU Overclock. You must click Reject to not get 1 star.

the problem is that I can't change the CPU and the maximum it gives me is 1400

I will try to change the power supply and put more refrigeration
