Having a hard time achieving needed 3dMark score
Hello!

I'm having some trouble trying to achieve the 3dmark score for a particular client due to budget restrains and would like some help if anyone can provide it.

More information regarding the mission:

BadJuice@BadJuiceFiction.edu is the name of the email.
The objectives are:
1) Install AIO water cooling
2) 3dMark score of 6839
3) Install dual graphic cards

His default pc starts with:
i5-6600k
RX 480 Gaming X 4G
G.Skill Ripjaw V 16GB 3200Mhz

Thanks in advance!

what are you hitting in 3d mark as of now. Just buying a second of his graphics card might be enough to hit the score.

use 3d mark and look at the scores of each part after the test, and if one is lower try replacing the lower part for a better one..early on you may need to replace the whole motherboard and use amd chipsets because the intel scores are pretty low, and yes you can since he wants dual GPUs put in another one and check scores again. if it is really really close you can try to overclock it just a bit to get the rest of the score.

So, I don't know if its a bug. But I cant run 3dmark successfully, it keeps crashing. I even tried changing PSU/Mobo/GPU/RAM and 3dmark still seem to crash

So is your game crashing or is it the ingame BSOD (blue screen of death)

It could be not big enough power supply, because you added another GPU it has too much Wattage, run the OCCT app on his computer and see it it throttles

I have tried it, and the app did not indicate throttling

What about the power draw?

There's a couple of good BSOD guides in the Top Rated All Time section of the guides on here.

Read the second line of the screen.

A Clock_Watchdog_Timeout error usually means you either forgot thermal paste or forgot to plug in your CPU cooler. It's always a CPU thing.

An Undetectable Hardware Error usually means a RAM or PSU problem. For me it's been too small of a PSU 95% of the time.

A "uDisplay.drv Error" means your graphics cards are overheating. Either they're overclocked too high or there isnt enough cooling. You might also get this if your PSU isn't enough while running OCCT and GPU Tuner, since it's still an overclock problem.

There's a couple more for errors from overvolting your RAM or CPU or whatever but you can find those in the guides section if you're curious since I haven't seen them yet, and they're not as common as those other 3.

I have finally figured it out. Looks like i'm just incredibly dumb and decided to overthink it. It was just a simple MOBO change + an extra GPU of what the guy had + a upgrade on the PSU. I appreciate all you guys giving me advise and guiding me to the right track of thought
