How realistic are the 3Dmark numbers in this game?
serious question though! For fun and mostly curiousity sake, I've put my own hardware into the game and ran the 3Dmark ingame... Such bad numbers!! (I think?) xD 8400 score with CPU running 15fps and gpu 58/53 fps. So I wonder how realistic these numbers are?

Honestly I am not super familiar with 3D mark so... I don't know what is normal, low or high. I don't do PC building irl nor do I run diagnostics like these irl. So do take me for a complete noob here!

You can compare in-game scores versus real-life scores. Since the game is made to mimic the real life scores, it should be pretty close.

Sure, but how 'normal' is that low cpu fps? I've ran some of the best CPU (INGAME) and even those can only run at 30ish FPS on the benchmark... Am I completely dumb and missing something?

Go download the free version of 3DMark in Steam, and find out!

Thanks for not being helpfull. Sure I'll buy some 2000 eur CPU and just test it using the free steam 3D mark. Thanks dude ;) Please think before you give such reply.

The 3DMark numbers in the game are completely fictional and only exist to complete customer jobs in career mode that require a specific 3DMark score. The numbers generated for hardware in the game with the in-game 3DMark program do not match anything in real life. You can not use this game to determine the 3dmark score of real life hardware. If anything in-game happens to be the same or close to real life hardware of the same name then it's just a coincidence.

I'm pretty sure that the numbers in the game aren't "completely fictional".

They are indeed based on real 3DMark values that the developers have taken as input, to model the CPU/GPU performance using in-game metrics. They're not made up or guessed at. They're modeled to be close to real values.

That being said, the developers do sometimes get faulty data, or make mistakes themselves.
