Could use some help?? PSU doesn't have enough cable/slots??
I'm lvl 16. I have a client who wants a custom dual GPU build and I've seen custom PCs come in to the shop that I was able to put dual GPUs on but for this one I got everything all set and then I find out there are not enough cable slots on the PSU? I've tried like 3 or 4 PSUs and all of them don't have enough slots. I'm trying to use 2x GTX 1070s pretty standard for the build.. but they require 4 PSU (2x each) slots and I only can find PSUs with 3? Maybe I wasn't supposed to get this job? Or if you could suggest maybe comparable GPUs that take less slots? Thanks in advance.

Usually the PSU's 1200 watts and above have enough slots for dual GPU's. There are some that can handle up to six GPU connections. Best to find one in free build mode first instead of randomly buying PSU's in campaign mode.

Well this is a custom order from a client.. and the highest PSU I can get is like 900.. it's not like I decided to do this for the fun of it. I assumed I would have the items available for the build since the mission was given to me.. ohh well.. I'm just gonna abandon it.

Try an EVGA PSU.

This online spreadsheet has a part calculator for all your upgrading and PC building needs, but most importantly on the Component lists sheet you can see all GPU and PSU data, including the number of connectors they have. If you set your level to 16 in the Settings sheet, it will only show you the ones available to you at that level, so you should be able to find a suitable replacement. Even if you abandoned this job, it might be handy in the future or for those who find this thread later on.

That is part of the game: Not all jobs are possible to complete. Some jobs are impossible and can't be completed and the game does that on purpose. I would suggest you remember to create a new manual save file before accepting each job just in case this happens.
