Help with Overclocking...
Hi guys I need help to Overclock a CPU... it's a i9-9820X... Its normal MHz is 4200 and I need to get 4241... I'm stucked as hell... I've Clock Base (100 MHz) and Index (x42)... I'm stuck on that little bloody thing like 1 hour...

Here you've the pic https://ibb.co/1MNKZgS

Thanks for help...

(: Sorry if anything goes wrong its worked for me though

set base clock to 101 and you might need to raise the voltage, silicon lottery.

42 x 1.01 = 42.42 or 4242 mhz the freq you are after.

Note as long as your frequency is at least the required frequency you will be good to go. It doesn't have to be exact.

Thanks for your helping guys, I’ll try it later, the config was smtg strange I managed to put 4242 but thought that its wrong...

After Dosen BSOD ....... I Was able to Acheive it by :
Base Clock : 101
Ratio : X42
Voltage : 1.7V

*No CPU was harmed or killed during the process thanks to CursedLiquid answer

I've got this same job in the eSports expansion of the game, and I've already destroyed two CPUs. The one that came with the computer, and one that I've bought to replace that one. I can't really afford to buy a third one, but I have to now. I have it overclocked to 101 Mhz, x42, so I hit the frequency required, then I incrementally increase the voltage until I get to 2.05v, at which point the CPU blows up. Like I said, this has already happened twice, and it keeps BSODing until the processor blows up. (BTW, this job was given to me on the Friday the day before match day, and the computer is needed working for the next day, and I have no side-jobs to make additional money.)

Aaand now make it 3 CPUs destroyed.

What’s the BSOD message you’re getting? You shouldn’t have to raise the voltage anywhere near that high. I’m wondering if you’re trying to fix the wrong thing by mistake and blowing up CPUs in the process.

It's possible... I can't remember what the BSOD was. I ended up just buying a more powerful CPU. Figuring that would be cheaper. I also did a factory reset... Which, in hindsight, I probably should have done first, but the job let me replace the CPU with a more powerful base one. The game just didn't care, so long as the frequency was at least 4241 mhz. (I put a 4,600 mhz CPU in.)
