XMP destroys RAM

Hello,
i'm in carrer mode and i have task to "renew" computer to 2308 3D mark score...so i tried to enable xmp profile at rams, in bios it's sets automatically 3,xxV for RAM! Anyway i tried it and these settings destroys RAM. It's bug or it can happen even in real life that xmp destroys your RAM (I never heard about it) :) thx!

Not sure what's going on there. Have you modded your game?

You should never be able to dial anything over 2.0v for RAM, even manually, and the highest voltage any XMP profile will ever apply is 1.5v. If you're seeing more than this, something has gone very wrong.

I had this bug a while back, it set my votage to 6.62v and got a sick quad one-tap.

It's happened to me once too, I prefer to think of it as a weird Easter egg instead of a bug. Honestly XMP is kind of worthless in this game anyway, it's not hard at all to just OC the RAM manually.

Yeah, i tried it few times and i know how to "make" this bug - set frequency of your ram, then restart, go to the bios and now set frequency to the base and enable xmp - voala u have some bad ass voltage (defending how far u goes with frequency of ram) :D
