Benchmarking Help
So I'm new to bench marking but i know that you mainly focus on cpu and graphics card. I've been doing 'okay' up to now but have lost my patience on one occasion and now on the system I'm currently working on, I'm just 1 point away from my target (3687/3688).

Somebody in an older thread suggested upgrading RAM but also extending it across all 4 slots, but that hasn't made even 1 point of difference.

That depends on the system. Normal "Desktop" class systems only benefit from 2 sticks of ram, not four. It's the later computers in the game in what we call "HEDT" or "High End DeskTop" systems that benefit from 4 sticks of ram. Basically if the motherboard has only 4 slots and they're all together on one side then it will only benefit from 2 sticks of ram. If the motherboard has 4 ram slots and it's arranged with 2 on one side of the processor and 2 on the other side, that's HEDT that can use 4. Or if it's a motherboard with 8 ram slots (4 on one side, 4 on the other side of the processor) then that is also another type of HEDT system and it can also benefit from a maximum of 4 sticks of ram, in terms of 3dmark speed.

Now that aside one thing you can do is go in to the bios in the computer you are working on and make sure "XMP" is enabled under the ram and that should get you a few points in 3dmark. Say for example the computer you are working on has ram that is capable of 3000 Mhz. It won't use 3000 Mhz by default. It will only default to 2133 Mhz. You have to manually go in bios and load XMP to get 3000 Mhz to run on it. This thing about the mhz speed on ram is true in real life and in-game.
