Should I get this game if I don't know anything about building a PC?
I've always wanted to build a PC, but it seems so complex that I've never dared to try. I recently stumbled across this game, and it looks interesting, but I have no experience with PC building. Is there a tutorial in the game, or is it best to play if you already have knowledge of how to build a PC?

I want to clear up something.
You can play PCBS without knowing much of a PC.
BUT you'll not be able to build an IRL PC after playing 20h of PC Building Simulator.

Now as a point of comparison :

I never ever worked on a car, and I'm not a grease monkey nor a petrol head, and while I have basic knowledge of car parts, that's about it.
Was I able to play Car mechanic simulator 2018 ? yes, and it was fun.

I knew better IRL PC's as I know IRL cars, but I would guess both games are very similar with the "knowledge" needed to play those games.

Now in PCBS, you probably will need to either learn more about PC's or you already know it maybe, and overclocking will be more challenging for you, as it may be something you'll learn from scratch.

There are twists here and there (that are true to real life) that you'll need to learn ofc, but if you are willing to inform yourself by reading guides in here on steam, and if you are able to communicate nicely without cursing every other word when you have an issue and you don't know something and you don't trash the game for not letting you know, then you'll be fine. There are willing people to help newcomers around here.

If you are hoping to get an in depth tutorial embeded in game and that it holds your hand, then PCBS is not for you.

But you if you did not know how to assemble a computer before playing this game then you still do not know how to physically assemble the actual hardware. You can't learn enough of building a computer from this game. Users that play this game still must find hardware tutorials on youtube or other places about the actual assembly of the parts.

The hardest part about assembling pcs in real life is getting the damn CPU heatsink and fan on. It's always a puzzle you have to solve with the help of the manual. In the game all of that is abstracted away.
