unless you go into "shady" versions, you can't.

Officially Steam supported and up to date versions can't load older beta saves.

So apparently you were playing during early access last (a few years ago?) and at one point during early access when they did the change to career mode they gave players with older versions of the game an option to continue playing on a different branch of the game for a little while. Then later on in time they removed that option and forced everyone to completely restart in career and didn't let us load older saves anymore. So you have no choice. You have to restart and play again now.

thanks mate for that answer... but WOW... its the worst which can happen for a game. especially for guys like me who only play 1 save in every game. 0/10

Unfortunately you knew this could happen. You were playing the game during Early Access. It's fairly common for games in Early Access to make dramatic changes to the game that will require completely restarting saves and progress from scratch. If you didn't want to handle this then I think you should of waited for the game to leave Early Access and move to Final Release. Once the game hit Final Release no one has had to restart the game or our progress yet.

EA -> Game in alpha state released to public to gain testers (many dev studios are too small to have a bunch of testers, especially with a pool of different hardware).
