What actually effects the 3DMark score?

I know enough about computers to play this game, but I still cant figure out what exactly effects 3DMark scores. So far, all I have been able to figure out is GPU's do next to nothing for it, CPU's help the most, and memory can get you just a few extra points.

Can anyone actually break this down for me?

Weird i find it to be GPU has biggest impact CPU next then lastly ram and ram speed. Temp could play a role as well id think if your OC.

idk, maybe I just do everything wrong xD I guess that's why I'm here, for someone to tell me wtf I'm doing wrong xD

Make sure to use the part list that shows the different scores they have. GPU will be a big chunk but CPU is def important as well. You can also bench every pc that comes in to kind of get a feel of what combos make up what kind of scores. Or even use your own rig with used parts as a test bench for scores.

so as far as i know. GPU is 60% for the score. so if you got 25k score on gpu. and 15k on cpu, u will got 25k+ score. if its the opposite, probs will be 20k+

GPU counts for about 85% of the the total score and CPU about 15%.

What counts in GPU score? The score is set by the core speed and mem speed of the GPU.
A good OC for GPU is for the sliders to be somehow even but not exactly, typically the slider for mem speed is higher than slider for core speed.

What counts in CPU score? The score is set by the core speed of the CPU and the speed of the RAM and using (dual channel or quad channel) as this gives some points to the score also.
What weighs the most, I cannot give you a straight answer for this, but I think the CPU speed is a little more important, because sometimes you can lower the ram speed a little for a higher core speed and get a higher score.

That was actually perfect. Thank you. In my experience playing the game. GPUs always drop the score. But, that's probably just because I put a lower power one in without thinking, then immediately assuming that GPUs inly negatively effect the score.
