That beeing said, I never indeed had your idea to swap only the fans....
Will try that on a job that specify "no used parts" and see. I may have in a few day an empty case incoming from PCBay
All fans new, all new parts and result is... case counts as used parts.
Just have strip it down and to rebuild into the other case... *sigh*
(EDITED : Typos and text to make it clearer, and yes second build went all good with all new parts.)
A new case used in a job will show the full value in the budget tab.
But, yeah, even a new case will often show as the used 1/3 value when you look at it, unless when used in a job as I mentioned above.
Thanks for head up... so easy solution, and I simply forgot to look there
Other than for a build order you wouldn't really want to build a PC from new parts (eg new case) anyway as you only recoup the used value if you sell it on pc bay, so there's not really any reason to get new ones unless for an order.
