Can't give someone a new case?

Had a job to upgrade the benchmark of someone's PC from 5265 to 6511, and add AIO water cooling, on a $1100 budget. I wanted to give them a 2nd GPU of the same type, which required a different motherboard, which would have required a different case for the size and keep the same CPU...and this would have been a solid way to achieve the objective on the budget but there's no way to move the sticky from the customer's case to a new case. I took apart the case as much as possible but I couldn't click it. Kind of disappointing... maybe something to consider changing for a future update.

Nope. You can (sometimes) replace everything else in the computer but never the chassis. All jobs are locked to the chassis and this never can change. Also later in the game you'll unlock overclocking and you should be able to complete these sorts of jobs almost completely free most of the time just overclocking what they have.

I unlocked CPU and GPU overclocking, I'm lvl 13. simply overclocking this job wouldn't be any fun... why do it for free? they'll pay for the parts...

This is sad... I threw together the cheapest thing I could for Oli (Kid that wants to be a league of legends star) and when he won his first tourney he came back asking for an upgrade and to give him some lighting... But the case I gave him in the first place wont show off any lighting so I wanted to replace the case.

And ? not sure why you would want to change full case.

Case fans allows RGB, you could go with RAM RGB, CPU cooler RGB, Mobo RGB, GPU RGB.
All those should allow you to complete the required color task.

It doesn't seem to be an actual task, I got 5 stars and nothing showed up for hidden tasks. But just in the sense of roleplaying in the game, I wanted to give the kid a cooler looking rig since it seems like he's gonna keep coming back to me, but I gave him the most boring case that you can't see through and I regret it.

Oh! Never mind, all is good with the world. Turns out he comes to you for a brand new PC when he gets signed, so now I don't feel so bad for being so cheap before.

Am gonna necro this post for 2 reasons, 1. This still isn't a thing which i find HIGHLY dissapointing and 2. i ran into a similar issue with one of the carreer missions (i will spoiler tag it since it's a "story" mission)
At some point you build a "Streaming PC for scottyB, he later comes back wanting to upgrade said PC for his female lady streamer that comes over so it can run PUBG @ 4K, but the problem part is he wants a DUAL GPU setup. This is problematic since i decided to build his streaming PC into a Micro ATX Case, which i cannot replace with something bigger (and more awesome)

Long story short: I am now stuck with a case that needs a dual GPU build of a specific "benchmark" but it's not possible with the current case, which means i can't finish this "story" mission properly!

I'm on the exact same missions as you, although I'm not as stuck as you. My issue is I want to build this kid a sick rig at this point and help him out. However, originally I gave him the cheapest case possible with no window and now I can't change it. It truly is disappointing that after all this time there is no way to swap out a customer case, and in your case (pun intended) it's actually game breaking.

What does that have to do with this thread? Nothing in the feature request thread mentions replacing the case for customers. Also this thread is not a "Bad post" either. Why are you commenting "Bad post" on multiple different threads? This is the 5'th thread I've seen you writing that in now.
