How do I stop CPU throttling?
I am really new to the overclocking in the game. The clients want me to overclock the CPU to 4000MHz or any high number. I finally do this and run the test through OCCT and it runs works, but it says I have throttling. I wasn't sure how to fix this so I just turned in the job anyway and got a bad review (of course). Could anyone help me with this? I would really appreciate it.

Increase cooling capacity in game: Add more fans (focus on higher CFM of the fans), add a bigger air cooler to the system, add all-in-one water cooler, create and add custom water loop.

Overclocking the processor makes it run hotter as a result of physics. So then you have to deal with the extra heat that it is producing.

So clearly more air flow, more cooling. Thank you very much. I believe you were the one who helped me a long time ago with another question I had, so thank you.

Add as many case fans as you can within budget and ofc what the case allows you to add.

Same logic as the CPU cooler. The best CFM possible, not just the first fan you stumble upon.
Also if you can fit 2x 120mm 75CFM it's better than a single 140mm 104CFM.
Now if you can fit only one, and you can choose between 140mm and 120mm, then go for the best 140mm you can.

I have a similar mission in eSports DLC. Need to OC to 5150 without throttling. My current setup is custom liquid cooling, 9900KS and 2x2080ti also water cooled. Big Thermaltake case for better air circulation, 4x120cm radiator and 4x140cm case fans. I can get right voltage for stable OCCT testing but just can't get it to stop over throttling and can't continue mission. Maybe change motherboard to see if it can handle better temperatures?

Maybe you got a bad CPU in the silicon lottery. Maybe try another 9900KS? Or maybe you should try the 9900K or the 8086K or the 9700K.
