blank screen 3dmark tests
why am i not getting anything on the screen when I run any 3dmark tests, got the whole pc running perfectly (free build mode), and all i get is a blank screen on the monitor when i do a 3dmark test, you see the numbers whizzing round, at bottom screen, just no graphics/animations at all, just black screen. do i need to re-install anything to get them back ?

Is the power supply enough for your build running at max? Is thermal paste on the cpu? Is the cooling system working? Did you overclock and set somthing wrong?

ummm - installed a 750w PSU, i double checked paste was on CPU, before i placed the Cooler on top of it, plugged in the power cord for cooler. Nope, no overclocking through CPU or, GPU, checked if the power cord was connected to GPU. 2400Mhz DDR4 ram used.

Does this happen on every PC you run 3DMark on or just the one?

well, this was done in free build mode, i did try to see if i could see the 3dmark test in career mode, on just an early basic pc repair, and low and behold, still could not see the 3dmark test, but the test was working ok, all the numbers were showing on screen just i could NOT see the video part of it, it was completely black, or blank. BTW in free build mode, one test came back with a 6,000+ mark, despite no video viewing. in another post, someone said about turning up the graphics in the options, but i have turned the graphics right up, still no videos during 3dmark test.

this is just 1 post with the same problem as me:

Hmm... I honestly don't know. I've never run into this issue myself, and I can also only find resolutions to this problem that state turning the graphics up will fix it. I wish I could be more help.

Does the score at least count towards the build even though you can't see the test on screen?

i GUESS so... as it was around the 6,008/9 mark.

I can also say, that it was showing a while ago, probably updates have caused the issue ? between windows 10 (x64 Pro)/Nvidia (having an MSI GTX1080 8gb gaming Z installed) , & the game itself.

Does the 3dmark test still complete and give a score? I've seen this a lot in PCBS myself on my computers. It still renders a score in the end so I don't really care, and it doesn't really matter.

yes, it still completes the test, from what i can see.

You can also run the system info app, and then run 3dmark, and see the temperatures, while its completing the test.

3dmark test :( .
