There is no networking or server mechanics to the game. It is all just regular old PCs, so if that's what you're looking, you're golden.

As for its veracity as a training tool, I'd say yes, it could be a great learning tool, but with a big fat caveat: it'd be a great tool only if you've got someone experienced there to explain everything that's happening on the screen. If you just sat someone down that has little to no knowledge about PCs and told them to use it to teach themselves, they'd probably throw their hands up in frustration after 30 minutes or so.

I just got my A+, Network+, and Server + certifications as well as a bunch of MTA's. This does work well for your CompTIA A+ 901 certification if you have little to no experience but the 902 section requires something more like Virtual Box. What certs are you going for?

IMHO, It would only be very entry-level training for a PC system builder for a modern small shop dealing in Gaming PCs. Still need your A+, many Microsoft certs, and few years actually Building and Repairing real PC computers. You can learn more using videos and e-books, and take several classes in a community college.

I guess if i started a shop and hired 1 entry level person i would have them play this game on their spare time in the shop, while they also read and watch tutorial videos and me.

I have a BSc Computing degree.... but I would take that job, being paid to play games? This would suit me JUST FINE :cozyrealmroyale:

It actually helps with the troubleshooting aspect of the IT skillset, which most seem to struggle on when it comes to test time. CompTIA tests focus heavily on troubleshooting aspects. Especially if your someone who hasn't repaired anything in their lives yet.
