Where are the wallpaper images stored in the game files?

As players we don't have access to that in PCBS.

That is where I wanted to add my own wallpapers so the various computers coming through would have cool wallpapers

Create it as a mod and upload it to the steam workshop for this game then subscribe to it and you can add as many wallpapers as you want to the game.

I know how to add wallpapers to my ingame pc, I wanted to have a folder of misc wallpapers that the game could draw from to use on all of the work-order computers I deal with ingame.

Unfortunately that's not possible with this game at the moment. Also modifications to the core game are not allowed for this game either so I want to take this moment to remind you that the moderators for this game do issue bans for discussing modifying the core game in the steam forums (It happened to me once several years ago). If you are trying to modify the game you might would want to try discussing it over on the nexus mods forums, or some other forum instead.

I have no intention of trying to make any modifications to the core game. My programming skills were meager at best when I was working in the IT field. I was just asking if there was the ability to replace the in-game wallpapers. Its not that important an issue to me.

There is no "Path" for the desktop background files for this game. The default desktop backgrounds are baked into the game's asset files. To edit, change, or add anything to this game would require disassembling or otherwise modifying the game it's self. Which is where my comment came from.
