Front / bottom in, rear / top out.
Not really lol, it depends on the build.
However, I was pointing out that the direction in which the case fans work is not optional and therefore there's only one result when placing Cooling fans.
Yes really. There's only one proper way for computer airflow. It's like this: https://www.howtogeek.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/ideal.png The reason for this is because of simple physics. Hot air rises to the top naturally, and the coldest air is always at the bottom (due to physics) so you always want to remove the hottest air from the case (which is at the top) so top and back fans are always exhausts. And you want the coldest air to hit the components first, so the front and bottom fans are always intakes.
Sure you can arrange the fans any way you want to. But there is only one correct way for proper airflow and the lowest component temperatures.
As far as I'm aware, in most of the builds in PCBS, I've always seen the fans turning and oriented in the correct way as I described above.
lol okay, no intent to be childish but I'm gonna ignore this.
There's no such thing as "Only one proper way for computer airflow"
No, because then it would apply to all cases and coolers respectively, again, there's no such thing as "Only one proper way for computer airflow".
Otherwise, even the most minimal ITX case would follow this rule, and it doesn't because you have horizontal cases, upside down cases, and even reverse cases. Small and big, 6 spaces for fans and 3 spaces for fans.
They can't all follow this rule, because in most cases the air pressure would be negative and not possitive.
That's what I've been saying and you keep arguing with me that "Top fans are exhausts" when they are intake in this game.
Unless something changed with the big career update (I haven't been able to play yet since the update) the fans used to be facing to blow up and out of the case before the update.
