shares of the company?
So I just paid the uncle £5,000 for 10% of the business, what does this actually give me? I know that at 25% I can change the business name but is that it?

Mine is still sitting in my email. Uncle Tim is quite the scammer based on the previous 2017 reviews and him taking $15 of the shops reserves for gas. I worry giving him 5k will have little to no return.

yeah probably, well I'm naive so xDD

I want to know, what constitutes a % of the company?? The company has almost no assets:
- He starts us with a negative bank balance
- There are very few tools and infrastructure, just a workbench and a shop PC
- There is almost no inventory
- The space is rented, not owned

So effectively, the value of the company is near zero at the start of the game. Why does 5000 Euros only equal 1/10 of the company? What makes "Tim's Red Hot Repairs" worth 50,000?

Edit: I guess the answer is, Tim's good name and stream of customers (customer recognition). However, according to the social media app, he's got terrible reviews. So much for a "good name."

Therefore, in the final analysis, the fact that he's got so many customers willing to give his shop a try, is the real reason the biz. is worth 50,000...

Actually he is asking us for 87,500 through the career, for that really horrible state the business is in, when we get the business.
Man!! Uncle Tim is really hustling us.

Yup, no way to get anymore emails when you delete the first one at the moment.

I came here because I was also scammed by Uncle Tim. We should organize a class action lawsuit against him. Uncle Tim deserves to be in jail!
Am I getting this right? The only benefit of paying for the company's shares is that once you own 25% of it, you get to rename it?
Then why bother blowing $87500 on it? =D

You also get an achievement. And there’s not a lot to spend money on anyway at the end. But yeah it’s not overly exciting.

Does owning more of the business mean you make more per job? I mean some of that revenue goes to the business and you keep the rest I'm sure right? If that's not the case and all there is to it is bragging rights, what on earth???
BonPadre Apr 21, 2019 @ 12:28am
then what on earth....

There are a few things in this game the devs implemented in a lazy way, and it's one of them...
In the gaming buisness it's called a... money sink...
