Anti-Aliasing Missing?
The game looks awful for me. All of the 3D objects are extremely jagged, and I can't find a fix. Please send help! This game used to look good but now it is painfully low-res looking. I am playing in 2K, the menus are just fine, just the game itself.

I'm pretty sure by now that the developers don't care if their game looks like pixelated garbage at this point.

There is currently no Anti-aliasing option for PCBS at all. Even forcing it with nvidia inspector that used to work last year doesn't work any more with the current patch. It doesn't even support nvidia DSR To render the game at 4K and down-sample it to 1080p either.

Yep it does. I almost can't even stomach to play the game personally because the jaggies are so horrible when working on PC's it almost makes me sick. They really need to seriously add AA to the game some how. Hopefully it will work with 1.0 even if we have to force it with nvidia inspector.

There's a way to make DSR work with this game. You have to change your desktop resolution to 4K (or any other resolution you like), then you run the game and select the same resolution your PC is running. It's not the most convenient way, but it does work all right.

Even with a 1080 Ti I get horrible performance trying to run it at 5k (native res is 1440p), so sadly DSR via changing desktop res isn't viable if you already have a monitor that's >1080p. Thankfully, you can use FXAA with it, but that's it. Even the AMD equivalent doesn't work, so AMD GPU users are SOL.

The lack of ability to use AA in this game, even via DSR, is one of its biggest drawbacks currently. Surely an exclusive fullscreen mode (as opposed to borderless window) could be added for that?
I don't know what it is but something has to be done. I'm actually not playing this because of it. I can't barely see most of the wires and cables in some builds and the insane amount of jaggies is just so disgusting I'm not playing PCBS for a while.

I just fired it up for the first time and closed it immediately because the 'medium' setting looks and performs terrible for what the visuals consist of... Would be interesting to see what the geometry looks like, because I get the feeling that's contributing a bunch...

The front door of the shop also has a 4k texture for no reason whatsoever. That door could easily be made to look great with a 1k texture. Stuff like that really doesn't help performance.

Agreed and bump. Especially what you said Aqua, I am in the same position as you. It sucks to because it actually looked better a few months ago. I was hoping by now they would have added some ambient occlusion, but instead they took away our only work around for making the game not look all jagged and pixilated. This seriously needs to be fixed, I don't get why it's taking this long!

Is there still no workaround for this?

Nope. The developers haven't implemented AA in-game yet and there is still no work-around. The game still looks like butts when building.

This seems like such a basic feature. I don't understand why it's taken so long. The game had it before! Albeit via work around... I really hope this gets added soon. I want to play but it's so jaggad now it isn't pleasant to look at and really hurts the experience. :/
This is a screenshot from another user in the bug report forums for PCBS that posted their screenshot for some issue and I'm going to re-post it here as an example of why PCBS needs Anti-Aliasing support.

Just look at how terrible all the jaggies on the edges of.. everything looks. It's disgusting.

Please add this to the game developers.

Yup! 1+ it looks really really bad.
The menus and such look fine, they run at full resolution just fine! Everything else is so jagged it makes me sick to play.
Hopefully this will be fixed soon. This really needs to be a top priority.

It would be also nice if they added some better lighting as well, even just ambient occlusion would go a long way. That would be icing though, and while I would love to see it added, it not being in the game doesn't have the same level of negative impact as the lack of anti-aliasing.
