Your correct BigDave, Thanks I just figured it out after tickering around, reported it in the bugs area, here is what I wrote:
OK i have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why when I select colored cables they won't appear in the build. So from what I see if your using a PSU that is None or Simi-modular and you want to use colored power cables they will work only when connected directly into the PSU. If you connect anything to the None or Simi modular PSU the colored cables that extend out of the PSU it will not add any colored cables. Why it is doing this I don't know but that is the bug
I have a build where the customer wanted all purple cables but I can't complete the job with the 550 Watts PSU which is the correct amount needed because it is a Simi-modular PSU, the machine benchmarked in at a max of 510Watts. Will have to purchase a Full Modular PSU
Yah I remember that one, had a few builds where they wanted purple lights and one with pink. Maybe you haven't reached that far, I am level 25 and I got a build where the customer wanted all purple cables. I figured it out though it was the power supply which in all reality shouldn't make a difference, probably an over sight on the part of the developers.
Thanks for your comment Metallos and enjoy.
The black fixed cables are like it should, only removeable cables can be changed to different color. Else you would have to open the power supply and desolder the old cables.
I never used a power supply with fixed cables that why I thought it might be a Bug. I did notice that I get jobs where the customers machine comes in and has colored cables and I remove them to say for example replace a GPU or the mother board and upon putting the machine back together if I don't have that color cable their machine gets returned with generic blck cables.
Seeing you mentioned disc drives, are there optical drives that can be unlocked at higher levels? I am level 25 and haven't seen any optical drives.
Your probably correct about the level 25 thing but if 25 is the highest why does it show i am almost level 26, will it max out the level 25 bar progress to 26 and then stop? I am stil getting new parts also.
It probably will in the future when they add more content and new items.
