DirectX vs OpenGL
Anyone has any details on what good/bad points of both settings ? FPS ? detail quality ?

Try them both out and see which gives you better performance. Perhaps devboi is easing towards linux compatability.

depending on your system mainly as older systems or some of the systems with built in cpu graphics will rely on OpenGL and actual graphics cards will rely heavly on Direct X

I hope that helps

Not really sadly, OpenGL used to also be higher quality as well which is why i asked if there was any difference in this game. But if the devs put it in just for compatibility ill consider this thread closed...

OpenGL hasn't been relevant for a while. DirectX is preferred on the windows platform unless you have the option for Vulkan, which is the DirectX 12 equivalent successor to OpenGL.

Then why would the devs bother to put in the option ? Every time I start the game it asks me if I want to run it in OpenGL (standard not Vulkan) or DirectX. This isn't Doom 😋
