M.2 Drive Compatability
Hi all,

Is there anyway way I could tell from looking at the motherboard whether it supports M.2 drive or not?

As I had the same question, I just blew through all the MBs to test. My simplified answer is all Mortoni and DFL boards do NOT support the M.2 format, every other board does.

That's kind of the point and that's why those boards exist. They're very basic entry-level boards that don't have all the bells-and-whistles like the more expensive boards. They don't even support overclocking. They just work.

To answer the original question:

Yes, but not in-game. I recommend my "Parts & Unlock Levels" guide. It now shows which motherboards support M.2 devices, and also (maybe more importantly) which motherboards support M.2 devices that have heatsinks!

Enjoy!
