if you are at negative 3,000 dollars then you cannot buy anything. Try selling parts to get over negative 3,000. Otherwise you have to restart the game, then pay more attention to your profit margin and cashflow. You can quit any repair orders that you don't see a way to make money on doing it.
Delete your save and start over. Also how does anyone even manage to do this? I've now restarted and played through the game from the start at least 6 times with various updates and never been negative even once. If you don't have the money to buy something, don't buy it?

And don't try to build computers without customer job because you can't sell them.
If you want to build computers on your own then you must use the free mode.

This deserves an achievement. It's harder to actually lose the game than it is to unlock everything.

This thread is literally over a year old and the issue has been resolved by now. You might want to check the dates before you reply to something. How did you even find this anyway?

Google search. Le duh. I don't understand why people always get their panties in a wad over people responding to dead posts.

> Someone makes a new thread with a common issue
"You don't need to make a new thread for this. Do 2 minutes of googling ffs."

> Someone googles an issue, an old thread comes up, and they post to add a slightly related problem
"Stop necromancing, make a new thread ffs."

Because this is general internet forum etiquette. All other forums (not steam) on the internet generally have rules about replying to old posts and have their moderators issue bans for people that do it. It's not enforced here on steam (sadly) but it should be. In the case of this thread it's already answered. There's nothing new to be added to it at this point.

This is *NOT* a common issue. This is a rare issue that does not come up very often. In fact this is the only referenced post I think that anyone has ever written regarding this issue. In the case here: you have your answer in the posts above. There's no need to reply to it and drag it up to the top of the forums again. There's no need to make new threads about this either. There's the answer. Read the answer. Go on with life and play more games.

This problem would be easily solved if moderators LOCKED threads they feel no longer need new comments. I too have necroed threads by accident simply because I have scoured through a new to-me-forum, and I do not think it is the end of the world. We have moderators for a reason, they aren't just there to keep the peace between us when a dispute arises, they can and should also keep the file cabinets tidy :)

I agree with you there. Personally I'll stop replying to this thread as of this post here being my last reply so hopefully either it gets locked or will just gracefully descent back into the abyss of history where it belongs.

Problem is there's no auto-prune/lock on Steam, anyway, moved to user help for reference and locking.
