Can you use this game to learn to build computers irl?
Can the experience you get in this game building computers be applied to building one irl? I've always wanted to build one, but never dared.

well as a system builder my self im going to say this is pretty acturate but i personally wouldnt use this as your referance guide your better off just binging tons and tons of youtube videos plenty of guides out there i first did it id say almost 15 years ago before youtube had really taken off and i read a webpage that was practicly miles long with more information then my brain knew how to handle but just keep researching online make sure your ready biggest issue is selection of parts such as as the game you need the right socket to mount your processor on you do need themeral paste but theres things the game doesnt tell you like which direction to mountr the proeccor in the socket bug again just watch you tube videos go to fourms ask for help select your parts long before you actully buy them and plan the system out thats about all the advice i can give

There's nothing like building a new PC. I've been doing it all my life and still love it! Don't worry about breaking things. There's actually quite little any sensible person could break on a PC.

The game gives you a great first concept about what to put where, but of course in reality you need to screw and cable connect everything yourself and those sockets don't light up orange. So you may have to read a bit in the mobo's manual, but honestly the most difficult thing you face while building a PC is setting a jumper and even that is old school. Today it's easier than ever to assemble your parts.

Stay grounded while building the PC. Most people don't care, but really just touch the radiator or something.

Also: Assembling the parts is far from the same as "building a PC". The guy who builds the system needs to know a thing or two about how he can mess up. So if you also configure a PC for the first time, I'd post the configuration on discussion boards etc.

I used to build older computers, this game will give you ideas for the new computer builds for this year. But it will not teach you actual building skills. You need to watch youtube videos and read a book or magazine and Read the Freaking Manuals that come with your parts.

Check this website of mine out. > http://www.cugol.org/Building%20PCs.html

Well, it does cover the essentials of building a PC, about 30-40% of overall PC building knowledge covered in the game.

It's best to refer to many YouTube channels out there before you actually start building your own PC, like GamersNexus, HardwareUnboxed, OZTalksHW, Tech YES City, and such.

i also highly recomend to any one that wants to do it see if you can get a hold of an old junk pc that still works you can usually buy them for cheap try ebay some thing from like the early 2000s i recomend this as your goal is to tear it completely apart and put it back toghether and make it work again of cource you will still need knowalge of how to assemble a pc that way if you break the old pc your not out of money in your new parts the processor is the part to be the most carefull of and unlike the game if you dont put thermal paste on your processor you wont get an error no themmal paste your processor wil basicly cook it self and fry its possible with the protection technology out there today that it may shut it self down and save it self but its not a risk i would take make sure you know what your doing before you assemble your system espessially if your planing on dumping a large amrount of money my currect system is worth aprox 2.5 grand i would have been scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if toching this equipment my first time but ive done it many times now i just found a youtube video you might watch

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZaFqY8UF6I should give you every thing you need

Building computers is kinda like Lego. If it fits, its likely the right way to set it. But do read the manuals.
"There's actually quite little any sensible person could break on a PC." I broke the clamp piece that clicks in when u insert the GPU. It was when I had to take the GPU out of the MOBO and didn't realized or forgot or just went ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for a moment and didn't think to unclamp that piece b4 I tried to remove the GPU. It's just a plastic piece so no harm..
