I thought that might be the problem, and I fixed it after posting this.
And by the way, the tool does NOT tell you anything about cooling fans. So, you're funny too.
The tool doesn't have to "Tell you about case fans". Anyone with an once of common sense about computers should know "Two powerful video cards is going to run hot, I should add as much fans and as much cooling as possible and a big power supply or this isn't going to work." The tool just tells you which configuration results in X score. The tool does exactly what it's supposed to do.
You shouldn't have to do this, it's not your fault. If people are too stupid to realize dual-gpu setups need better cooling then it's all on them.
The whole reason for this Tool is because some jobs have a price limit per job and it's not easy nor obvious to figure out which configuration results in which score for which price. This tool makes it much easier for us to figure it out. But if you had actually played the game, you would understand why we have the tool and what it's for.
Anyone with an ounce of common sense, PERIOD, should know how to spell 'ounce'. They should also know proper sentence structure well enough not to use run-on sentences. And, they should also know, and utilize, proper punctuation.
This is how that mess you typed should be written:
"Two powerful video cards 'are' going to run hot. I should add as 'many' fans as 'necessary to provide' as much cooling as possible, and a big power supply. 'If I don't', then this isn't going to work."
Anyone with an ounce of common sense about posting anything online should know to proofread everything they type BEFORE they post it.
You really shouldn't call people stupid. It always comes back to bite you.
Thanks for the useful hint.
Wow I have to hand it to you. I haven't found a legitimate grammar nazi in many years, and in all the posting I do online.
Seriously though: If the only thing you have to add here is assaulting others for how they form their words then perhaps steam isn't the place for you. Your post is totally off topic and you are not adding anything constructive to the current conversation. Technically that's a violation of steam forum global rules (intentional off topic postings that attempt to derail threads), but I don't think the admins will act on it even if I did report you.
This is the one and only response I'll give to this: I would suggest you try and stay on topic, and keep your responses to discussing this lovely tool here.
When discussing this "lovely tool here", as you so eloquently put it, maybe you should regard the forum rules yourself and refrain from calling others "stupid" when they post something concerning this tool.
Just sayin'.
But I digress. It is a handy tool.
Should be all good now.
If someone spots any errors, please write me here, thanks
If you can update your tool to allow this, it would be awesome.
