3D Mark runs at low FPS
Hi everyone,

is it normal that the 3D Mark benchmark only runs with a maximum of about 15 FPS, even if you have the mot powerful rig possible and the game itself always running at smooth 60 FPS with no drops whatsoever?
If you have a customer's PC, that has "bad" specs it sometimes even runs at just 9 FPS or something which really is a pain to wait for.
I tried changing the graphics settings and resolution but it didn't help at all.

The benchmark tests the computer in the game and not your own computer.
The benchmark tests in game

I'm only like 15 days into the game (career mode) and so I don't have access to the best stuff yet, but an fps of like 15 on the benchmark seems very unlikely even still. Am I wrong?

And the 3DMARK test just crashes lol (blue screen)
Most likely your cooling isn't enough and the CPU is throttling because it's too hot and making the test run slow. Also did you put 8 sticks of ram in it and manually clock the ram up to the 3600 mhz maximum? Threadripper and 1080 Ti's are a fast configuration for 3dmark in-game you just have to set it up correctly.

Yes you are wrong. The test is CPU test and you're running it on slow hardware. The benchmark test isn't going to be fast unless you run it on high end hardware (Threadripper and 1080 Ti's). It's just like real life. If you run the same benchmark on a low end laptop it'll run 5 FPS if you run it on a high end dual-gpu gaming desktop it'll run 50 FPS. This is how it's supposed to be and this is how it works in real life.
