The game won't let me apply thermal paste
I can't apply the thermal paste to the CPU beofre connecting up the fan. It's Audrey1945's computer. I assume that applying the thermal paste is the same as when you use the compressed air (click and hold). However, it isn't working so I'm guessing that this is some sort of bug within the game. Can anyone help with this?

Can you provide screenshots and link them here?

Try removing all components, save and renter, apply all the parts again and try applying the termal compound after seating the CPU and locking it with the securing arm or CPU mount before seating the cooler (I know you;d probably do this im just being thorough).

Ah. I did it. It turns out that I did apply the thermal paste to the CPU but I just didn't notice that the little dot on the CPU which signifies that the thermal paste has been applied. Whoops.

NP, yea some things do need a bit of refining, I have trouble blowing the dust off white PC's...hard to tell! thank god for the tool tip lol.

Hi yeah, so I was having the same problem, while when I need to apply the thermal paste, is just shows up red and doesn't give an option to even do it, like the other parts, screen shot is included. https://ibb.co/bQUvXo

never mind figured my own problem, just applied thermal paste to the cpu and not the cpu cooler, ma bad.

That's how you're supposed to do it in real life too by the way....
