Upgrade
Either I'm doing something wrong or this is a glitch. I frequently get jobs that request a CPU or Video Card upgrade with no specification on what they want or a benchmark rating that they're trying to achieve. Most times they will have the best hardware available anyhow. There are the rare occasions that I will have a better one to purchase but I'll end up losing money if I do because these jobs offer so little. Please help.

I got the same exact problem as you did. It just said "upgrade" and did not mention anything other than that. So I did purchase a better gpu/cpu and installed it, but it didn't work. I'm sure it's a glitch since developers love hiding behind the word "Early Access".
You probably side or downgraded without realizing it. There's an app on the store that gives you the hardware rankings for CPU/GPU
That's because you're supposed to understand computers and realize what an upgrade is. In CPU's just go up to the next tier. Celeron/pentium -> i3 -> i5 -> i7, ryzen quad core -> 6 core -> 8 core. Easy

For GPU's you can use the in-game ranking thing but that costs tons of money in career and it's difficult to read. Try this, is much easier: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1050-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti/3650vs3649

GPU's need to be at least 30% or faster. Just think about it in IRL. No one would pay $300 for a video card that's only 15% faster than their current one. That's just stupid.
Rentacle Tape, I get what you're saying and the idea that the strict numbers don't always correlate to better benchmarking, but you probably shouldn't trust an outside source. $600 is not a lot of money for the app, even in the first week...

It's sorted by rank so the hard part is finding the exact name of the part in the list. Definitely seems like it should be searchable, though.

I feel like I'm repeating myself.. there's another identical thread.. guess I'll answer here too. The problem with this game is you can not just pick "The next rank up" in the list, that's not "Enough of an upgrade to be classified as an upgrade." it has to be significantly faster, like 3 ranks up or higher. And you don't have to be exact, this game isn't that picky. Like if a customer has a GTX 1050 Ti (any), then any GTX 970 would easily be faster by +60%, even the "Shean" GTX 970 would work.

If someone wants an upgrade. Give that person an upgrade. Don't go from a gtx 1050 to a 1050ti. That's not an upgrade.

Finally someone understands. All these people around here trying to "upgrade" someone's computer for the jobs and just giving them a gpu that's only +15% faster. If they actually tried that running a computer shop in real life, you'd end up with a lot of furious irate customers yelling at you.

I suppose that since the profit margins are so slim for graphics card upgrades, the biggest issue is the cost of the card and shipping. Picking them up used should help, though that takes time and another expensive upgrade.

Also, I haven't tried. but can we install multiple graphics cards to satisfy the requirement? Maybe I am just approaching the problem the wrong way.

I got an issue say cpu upgrade, now the AMD Cpu is the top of the range. Unless going to add in a overclocking to the game, with a program, there is no way to upgrade this CPU.Look like a issue here.

Here is a crazy idea. Why not swap out the motherboard? Probably over the top for a cpu upgrade, but it would give you other options.

No we do not have multi-GPU support yet. That is actually planned in the roadmap and will be added later.
