Or.. you know, actually be smart about computers and already know before playing the game how different hardware will effect benchmark scores.
Companies that actually do Benchmarking upgrades have software/reference material to help with this process.
The Devs need to implement some set of "Tool" to assist with this Mission.
As for your question:
Other than going to Free Build Mode and Rebuilding the Machine to try and get the Score.
Check what is getting the Lowest FPS and Replace that with one Higher in the App Part Ranking. And Don't forget that increasing Ram can Raise the Score Slightly.
I'm trying to figure out a Better approach to this myself and will post if I do.
Also if you take these missions too early, you won't complete them because the parts available are not powerful enough ( I didn't get a 1060 yet; imagine that).
I hope the devs will add an internet app so you can check 3dmarks and the config that generated them, and in that way you can figure out what to upgrade to get the required score. As now I am just rejecting these because I have only few CPU and GPU available.
I've been able to complete every 3dmark-score related test even without the cheat mode from the start of the game. It's possible, just have to be smart about it. And I didn't go broke, either.
