I have:
i5-4570 3.2GHz (Quad)
8GB RAM
GTX 1050 Ti 4G
At a res of 1080p and runs a solid 60fps with no drop at any point.
and if 1080 dont work try using a seperate hardrive for your games and OS and possibly remove some crap off the OS Hdd (if you have seperate Hdd)
I have SLI disabled/set to run on a single card on this game. I updated my GPU driver to the latest driver. I have no issues running any other game. Hell I can run Crysis 3 at an average of 90-100 FPS maxed out on my ultrawide monitor. That's pretty high end to me. I verified game cache as well. Still having issues. Something about this game is not agreeing with my PC.
I'm familiar with forcing SLI to work on games. The problem isn't SLI, the problem is this game shouldn't be running so terrible on a single 970 when I see people running systems less powerful than mine and getting better performance.
I have an older system, a 2500K @ 5.0 ghz and a overclocked GTX 780 and this game runs perfectly fine, and I can even force anti-aliasing up to 32xSSAA fand it's still 60 FPS everywhere, but I'm playing at 1920x1080. Did you try disabling vsync in-game? Maybe it's your problem, maybe the game just doesn't work well above 1080p. But it should be working fine, as long as your computer is running properly.
I did try disabling vsync. Didn't change anything. I even used DDU to wipe my GPU driver and reinstalled, still the same issue. If I lower the resolution to the lowest setting I can get 120hz (my monitor is 120hz) but at my native 3440x1440 even on low it goes to 40 fps and my 970 is maxed at 100 percent usage.
Well there's your answer. A single GTX 970 is (apparently) not fast enough to run your chosen resolution in this game. Nothing you can do. Upgrade to a faster single GPU or deal with it.
FInally, some actual good advice. Thank you for your input. I tried the game on my GF's laptop w/ a 1050 Ti as well and it was a stuttery mess. Guess this game is just unoptimized due to it being early access. Thank you.
Or just play at 1080p (or below) and be happy like 90% of the rest of us that play PCBS with no issues, no stuttering and no problems (graphics wise anyway, game still has a ton of bugs) at all.
