worry about used parts?

What exactly does this mean? Are they actually concerned about you putting used parts in for an upgrade? I wouldn't even dare putting in parts that have been used by old customers. Is that actually what they mean?

The customer wants new parts, if you put used parts in, then you get less stars.
If the customer says nothing about this then you can use used parts, they're cheaper (for example if you're struggling with the budget limit).

You can aso keep the used parts for later if you can buy and repair used PCs from PCbay. But don't build PCs with many new parts and sell them because PCbay calculates only for used parts so you make less profit. In real world PC shops build PCs with new parts (of course) and sell them as new for example on Amazon or Ebay but in the game it seems to be bugged (or weird designed).

They do not want you to use used parts, which means it has to be all new parts.

Stop beeing so nice. Your job is to run a buisness... how the hell would an innocent customer know you actually installed in his PC a nicely, carefully cleaned used part ? he's never gonna open the PC herself / himself.
What you need to do though, is keeping carefully the opened new boxes if an other customer doesn't ask for it, so if one of those "innocent" ones asks for the box, even though it's a used part, you will be able to give it to her / him.
Also, how will you ever be able to buy the company shares from Uncle Tim, if you don't save some spare money here and there ?

Now all jokes aside, if you play hard mode, you'll never have enough budget for the jobs, so most of the time, the only way to complete said jobs are to make use of those used parts.

I guess I need to see it as a game a bit more. I've been trying to be pretty realistic about it but just tried using old parts on someone who didn't ask for new and he was stoked about his pc so I guess it's all good. Thanks though everyone.
